Tutong Powerboat Clash. Sunday, 27th July 2008. Once again Seri Laila Team keep moving on stepping the Powerboat Championship.

LIMBANG, Malaysia28th of July, 2008 – Projected cloudy conditions shouldn’t pose a problem. Team crews are all set .Unlucky toilet charges 20cents for an entry and tissue are extra. Supporters and local fan are set waiting to watch the thrill of heart beating duels.


Back to the festival. Four drivers from the other participants will take to the Limbang River for the 1st race of 45sst engine at the Limbang Festival 2008. As the Team Seri Laila driver Ismail Hj Kabon set the thrill for the first race in the event. The driver from Team Seri Laila was the first Bruneian to get the F1 Powerboat license in 2003 at Singapore. Four drivers to pass an early quick time for first pole are very dramatic. As a result Ismail Hj Kabon put his boat into a first position. This was eventually not good enough for the 2nd position driver from Tiong Racing Team, Mumid. And for Asian Tiah Eng Beng from Asian Racing Team 40sst driver engine power shouldn’t be a problem, he came on strong with a great effort moved him into the third position. At the end of the closing festival, trophy and gifts is presented by the festival VIP of Limbang, Malaysia.

Limbang Festival 2008

LIMBANG, MALAYSIA – 27th of July, 2008 – While waiting for Powerboat competition at Limbang festival 2008, participants of the current racer from Limbang, Kuching Sarawak and Brunei stay busy with their team and preparing things for the upcoming races. other pursuits to keep busy and also stay focused before the upcoming event in Tutong, Brunei. The impressive opening ceremony on Saturday brought some 1000 spectators to watch the free training sessions, the pole positions and to support their local fan – a new discipline within powerboat association had a briefing before the race started. The total number of entries was around 20 which resulted in an 8 hours race towards the competition. Limbang Festival was very much appreciated by the competitors and by the public. It allowed the drivers to proof their maneuvering skills in powerboat Division and it offered the public the thrills of heart beating duels towards it.
